Barisal Polytechnic Institute is the largest Polytechnic Institute in the country and contains the highest number seats for studying in the South region of Bangladesh. This Institute operates under the executive control of the Ministry of Education (MOE), acting through the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). And the academic programs are regulated by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
