Comilla Polytechnic Institute is one of the oldest polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh. This polytechnic is directed by Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). It is located in Kotbari, Comilla, 3503, Bangladesh. Approximately 4000 students are reading in this polytechnic. The present principal name of this polytechnic is Engineer Mohammad Rehan Uddin. This polytechnic has 25.6 acres campus, 18 Administrative staff, and 6 Academic staff.
For the poor students, there are accommodation facilities in this polytechnic institute for staying the students. The poor student can stay in the hostel at a low cost.
There is a well-appointed library room in this polytechnic institute. The library filled with various types of books. The institute student can increase their knowledge by reading these books.

To apply for admission to the Comilla Polytechnic Institute the candidates must have to pass the SSC exam with a minimum CGPA 3.50 ( male student) and 3,00 (female student) and individual GPA 3.00 in math or Higher math.
According to diploma engineering admission circular 2019, 53% of students will be admitted to polytechnic diploma engineering by merit and 47% of students have been admitted to government quota. Among all quotas 20% is for the female student, 15% SSC Vocational quota, minor ethnic group quota 2%, freedom fighter 5% and 2% for children of officials or employees who are working in Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment.
The Comilla Polytechnic Institute provide 4 years Diploma in engineering course. The 4 years course is divided into 8 semester.
The total class divided into two shift, first shift starts from 08: am and second shift class start from 01:30 pm.
