Khulna Polytechnic Institute is a government-owned polytechnic located in Khulna, Bangladesh. It is one of the biggest and oldest polytechnics in Bangladesh. About 4000+ students are studying in this polytechnic. Animesh Pal is the present principal of this polytechnic institute. This institute has a large campus, about 58 Administrative staff, and 90 academic staff.
Since 2008, the hostel of Khulna Polytechnic Institute has been closed for some particular reason. Student of this Institue has to stay in a mess near the Institute.

To apply for admission, the students must pass the SSC Exam with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 and an individual GPA of 3.00 in general math or higher math.
This polytechnic preserved some quotas at the time of admission; among the quotas, 20% is the female quota, SSC (vocational) 15%, minor ethnic group quota 2%, freedom fighter 5%, special needs student quota 5%, and 2% for children of officials or employees who are working in Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment.
The diploma course’s duration is only 4 years. And the four years are divided into 8 semesters.
