The Magura Polytechnic Institute is one of the famous institutes in Bangladesh. It has a good environment for study. There is a large building in this institute and it has three parts. One part is used for official work and others are used for academic activities. Library cards are essential to borrow books. Two hundred students can be admitted to a department at a batch. There are about 3600 students in our Institute. The teachers are well qualified and friendly to the student.
This polytechnic institute provides hostel facilities to the students. There is the institute’s own residential hostel for the students. Both male and female students can stay at the different hostel at a low cost.
There is a large library on our campus. It is situated on the second floor. There are so many books. These books are about science and technology and many more discipline of knowledge. Many students study in our library. Our students can borrow books from the library. Students can stay in the library from 8 AM to 5 PM.
There is a canteen is available here. The students collect quality and fresh food from the canteen. The canteen also provides the study related equipment like a pencil, pen, notebook, etc. Students can spend their leisure time sitting in the canteen.
This polytechnic was founded in 2008 with only 2 technologies Electronics and Refrigeration and Air-conditioning engineering. The first-year students were only 60. This institute is in a good position today in the evolution of time.

This polytechnic institute provides the diploma in engineering course in 6 technologies these are Food, Mechatronics, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Refrigeration and Air-conditioning. This polytechnic has two shift and there are 50 seats in each department in each shift.

When you want to admit to this polytechnic institute you have must have some qualifications. At first, you have to need to pass the SSC exam with minimum CGPA 3.50 ( for the male students), 3.00 ( for the Female Students) and an individual GPA of 3.00 in math or higher math.
This Magura Polytechnic Institute has also preserved some quotas at the time of admission among the quotas 20% is the female quota, SSC (vocational) 15%, minor ethnic group quota 2%, freedom fighter 5%, special needs student quota 5%, and 2% for children of officials or employees who are working in Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment.
This polytechnic institute provides the diploma in engineering courses in 4 years’ duration under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). The total of 4 years is defined into 8 semesters.
