Narsingdi Polytechnic Institute is one of the new polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh. Presently this polytechnic institute providing a diploma in engineering courses in many subjects like computer, Civil, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and Food. The Narshingdi Polytechnic Institute has energetic and qualified teachers who are committed to put the best effort to give the student the best technical education. About 1600 students are reading in this polytechnic institute.
It is a non-residential polytechnic institute. There is no hostel facility available here for the student. As a new govt Institue, they just started their journey to the improvements. “The student’s residential hostel service will start soon,” said the principle of this Institute.
The institute has a large library for the student with a lot of domestic and foreign book and these can increase the knowledge of the student. Also, there is a medical centre for the student for primary medication.

The candidates must have to pass the SSC examination or equivalent examination in a minimum CGPA 3.50 (for a male student) and CGPA 3.00 (for female students). Also, the student has a minimum GPA of 3.00 in math or higher math
This polytechnic preserved some quotas at the time of admission. The quotas are like female quota is 20%, SSC (vocational) 15%, minor ethnic group quota 2%, freedom fighter 5%, special needs student quota 5%, and 2% is for the children’s of official employ who are working in Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment.
The Diploma in engineering is a 4 years course. The Narshingdi polytechnic Institute also provides this course with a 4 years duration.
The class of this polytechnic institute managed in two shifts. The first shift starts from 08:00 AM and ends at 12;00 PM again the second shift class starts from 01:30 PM and ends at 06:00 PM.
