Sylhet Polytechnic Institute (SPI) is a state-controlled polytechnic institute located in Sylhet, Bangladesh. It was established in 1955 by the then East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) government. It was named Sylhet Polytechnic Institute in 1959. This polytechnic has 20 acres long urban campus. This institute has a total of 120 Academic staff, 50 Administrative staff, and about a total of 5572 students.
Like most of the advanced polytechnic institutes, this polytechnic institute provides hostel facilities to the students. There are different residential hostels for boys and girls. Students can stay hostel at a cheap cost.
