Dhaka Mohila Polytechnic Institute is one of 49 Government Polytechnic Institutes in Bangladesh. The academic activities of this polytechnic are controlled by the Technical Education Board Dhaka (BTEB). It is one of the well-known polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh. This polytechnic institute has started a new horizon towards women’s education in Engineering. Presently about 800+ female students are studying in this polytechnic institute.
A total of three hostels are available in Dhaka Mohila Polytechnic Institute to stay the institute students at a cheap cost. There is a total of 600 seats in the institute hostel.
This Institute has a pleasant Library and there are a lot of books available. The Institute students can read these books for free. The minimum requirement for admission is a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent certificate with at least a CGPA of 3.50 (65% marks) on average with a minimum of GPA 3.50 in mathematics. If a student has these qualifications, she can apply.
Each of the Dhaka Mohila Polytechnic Institute’s departments is divided into eight semesters. In each semester a student earns a significant amount of CGPA under 4. The last semester is the Industrial Training Semester. A student learns practical information about a selected technology in the industry for approximately six months.
This polytechnic institute has two shifts in class. The first shift starts at 8:00 am and ends at 12:00 pm. On the other hand, the class of the Second shift starts at 1:30 pm and ends at 6:00 pm.
